Jimi Hendrix Experience: Electric Ladyland 6XLP + BluRay Box Set SEALED
Year of Release: 2018
Label: Sony
Info: Box set in brand new sealed condition.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience‘s original 1968 album, Electric Ladyland is now newly remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes. For the LP set, Grundman prepared an all analog direct to disc vinyl transfer of the album, preserving the authenticity.
Electric Ladyland 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition includes a full colour, 48-page book containing Jimi’s handwritten lyrics, poem and instructions to his record label, as well as never before published photos from the recording sessions that were shot by Eddie Kramer himself. Also included are essays by celebrated journalist David Fricke and Hendrix authority John McDermott. All contained in a numbered casemade lifttop box for the LP & Blu-Ray release with new cover art which is true to Hendrix’s original vision of the album’s cover: a Linda (McCartney) Eastman photograph of the band and children at the statue of Alice In Wonderland in New York’s Central Park.
Also included is:
Electric Ladyland: The Early Takes, which presents 20 never before heard demos and studio outtakes. Included are incredibly intimate demos for song ideas Hendrix recorded himself on a reel-to-reel tape at the Drake Hotel, as well as early recording session studio takes featuring guest appearances from Buddy Miles, Stephen Stills and Al Kooper.
Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live At the Hollywood Bowl 9/14/68, Part of Experience Hendrix’s Dagger Records official bootleg series, this live album documents their triumphant Los Angeles concert held a few weeks before Electric Ladyland was released. The recently discovered two-track soundboard recording captures the energy that had the audience in such a frenzy that many concert goers jumped into the reflecting pool that separated the bandstand from the seats
Blu-Ray of the acclaimed full-length documentary At Last… The Beginning: The Making of Electric Ladyland.

Grading of vinyl and Sleeve
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.”
As well as the above grades, Near Mint (NM) is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them, or if it is ex shop stock and may have minor storage wear on the sleeve.
For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and – are also often added to the grading.
In addition to the basic grading, any individual faults will be noted separately such as if an otherwise excellent cover has a name written on it, or if there is a seam split etc.
Vinyl is not cleaned prior to listing – as we know that many collectors have their own method of cleaning. We are happy to hand clean the vinyl before sending if you require – please send us a message with payment.
